I had to get on tiktok today and I saw this video of this girl talking, unfortunately just loud and factually wrong. 

Thankfully it was a video of someone responding to her video line by line explaining as to why she was ignorant.

And it reminded me of something else I’ve been thinking of lately. 

So before the internet, it was much more difficult to get famous. 

And if you’ve done any healing or reflection, a lot of the times wanting to be famous is a method of coping for some feeling of inadequacy. 

It’s similar to unfit leaders seeking positions of power. Something else that’s extremely rampant in our government right now. 

So a lot of what we know as celebrities from the early 2000s, aren’t great people. 

Same with many of the influencers as well that took early advantage of social medias and the internet. 

Many were more than likely wounded and attempting to cope with some kind of perceived inadequacy, while doing nothing to address the woundings. 

It’s why we hear so many stories lately of influencers and celebrities being abhorrent people.

And it’s so fucking annoying. 

Not that people were fooled by them and made them famous 

But that the people who are willing to put themselves out there, to get in front of millions, are so frequently loud, ignorant, immoral, hypocrites who offer no healthy value to society because they refuse to improve themselves. 

They don’t have much of anything worthwhile to listen to and they simply perpetuate dysfunction in society.

Yet many of the people who may struggle with putting themselves out there—whether from fears of being seen, or fears of being perceived, etc—

Are more likely better individuals in terms of morality and integrity and would have better influence over younger generations to continue working towards a healthier and happier society. 

It seems like a lot of humanity is thankfully waking up to this and no longer tolerating or admiring that narcissistic kind of behavior. 

But it’s just so frustrating to see so many dysfunctional individuals having such large platforms that create terrible frays in our society’s fabric.
