I thought some of The Daily Scrolls could be me sharing beliefs that I have in order for people to get to know me, to get to know my values, what I stand for, as well as hopefully finding my community that has similar values and beliefs.
One belief I have is that people seeking out positions of power and influence, such as congressional seats, Senate, presidency, law enforcement—
At this point, even teaching and healthcare positions after seeing the nursing student in Minnesota last week say, “go back to your country b****” —
They should be required at least 2 years of extensive therapy prior to them holding the position, and then continued therapy while holding the position.
To help prevent any kind of corruption, abuse of power, Bigotry, anything that could negatively impact individuals, minorities or society as a whole.
These positions are meant to serve the people, to protect the people, to improve the quality of everyone's lives, and move society forward as a whole.
Someone believing you shouldn’t have a right to exist, should not be able to hold a position where you’re at your most vulnerable and your outcome of surviving depends on them.
Too often, we see the worst people seeking positions of power.
Like the “loser” in high school becoming a cop on a power trip.
The pervert that wants to be close to children.
The narcissistic man that thinks he should be worshipped like a god, while having the accountability and development of a toddler.
Bigotry and corruption should never be allowed to run the show in any way.
As we're especially witnessing, again in real time, these last almost 2 years now.
Obviously, I also believe that we should move towards universal healthcare to make said therapy accessible and easily attainable for people seeking these kinds of positions.
