If you know me, you know I do not have the best of luck with vacuums or mops. But this vacuum seemed to change that for me and started my loyalty to the brand.
I’ve had this vacuum for YEARS. I’ve never had a vacuum last that long before with all the abuse it endures 😭
When I first used it over a small area that I had already gone over with my old vacuum, it picked up SO much that my previous one missed.
My jaw hit the floor when I looked in the canister.
I was so awestruck I remember immediately whipping out my camera to document it. Thankfully, I still have it.

I bought the old model of this vacuum in February 2021.
This is my favorite vacuum I’ve ever used, and I’ve tried everything from Hoover, Dirt Devil, even glorified Dysons, and then some.
I chose this vacuum because my ex at the time has allergies and I was hoping it would help him and it did seem to make a difference for him at the time.
I’ve only had 2 problems with it.
One:
I ended up ripping the hose while aggressively cleaning this year (2026) in June.
After 5+ years of use? I don’t think that’s bad at all.
Plus I was able to order a replacement hose directly from Bissell with no issues and it’s back to working great!
Two:
Between the twins’ hair and my long hair, it occasionally will get tangled up in the brush.
A few times a year or so, I have to tip it on its side and rip off the hair or cut it with scissors and then pull the hair off the brush.
Annoying but doesn’t take long and not the end of the world for how well the vacuum has worked.
HOWEVER!
I just bought the new model of it and Bissell upgraded it with their “tangle-free brush!” So it should completely eliminate that issue!
I also love that every purchase with the brand helps save pets!
Now I have a vacuum for downstairs and upstairs instead of having to lug the same one up and down repeatedly.
It’s called the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Allergen Lift Off Vacuum.
I know.. it’s a mouthful. But thankfully you don’t have to call it by its name every time you use it.
They frequently run sales or give out coupons for it on Tiktok, so I’ll leave a link if you want to check.
